Payday today at work, and as a rare treat at the moment, I have bought a new anime Blu ray release to add to my collection that I am slowly rebuilding! The incredible Solo Leveling! Based on the insanely popular Korean Manhwa which is now also getting a live action Netflix show.

I think I have been living under a rock recently, but I noticed this new kids film (Latvian but feels like an Anime) in HMV and felt an urge to buy it as a Cat lover. What a beautiful, poignant tale Flow is. It moved me in a way that I haven’t felt in a long, long time.

So I haven’t bought anything for myself for a while, but I did go on eBay and get the new Stellar Blade Vinyl Mini 2 OST - got it for a good price considering only 500 have been pressed (was part of a raffle from PlayStation Korea). The tracklist bangs! Especially ‘Raven’.

Well I never thought this would happen, but I just won this pristine US sealed copy of FFVIII PS1 on eBay for £16! The seller is a vintage collectible dealer and also just sold copies of Einhander & Crash Team Racing for £600 each! This has my favourite cover art. Perfection!

I started with the Mega Drive, SNES & Game Boy as a kid, but my Mother eventually got the cash to buy me the PlayStation for Xmas ‘97. It was transformative for me and introduced me to franchises forever treasured like Final Fantasy & Resident Evil. Happy 30th! #IHaveLived

So what is everyone’s game of the year 2024 at this moment in time? For me it is a toss up between Stellar Blade and Silent Hill 2 Remake. The latter though I cannot stop thinking about since finishing it this week (work of art!). I have since started the original game on PS2!

So as Argos have put all PS5 DualSense controllers down to £44.99 for Black Friday, I thought I would treat myself to the new Chroma Indigo one (fresh battery!) and sell my old Cosmic Red to CeX for £34! Love the colouring on this one!

“Did you just see a real bright light?” The picture quality on this new 4K transfer of The Terminator is incredible!

I heard from the “basement dwellers” that The Terminator is a 4K transfer of Cameron’s that is actually worth an investment. One of the greatest of all time, and honestly, it is very rare of me nowadays to buy any physicals of my beloved Anime let alone live action movies.
