🧪 A fact: Yesterday in #Iceland , in addition of volcanic activity , there was quite some #highlatitudedust activity in the southern coast. So, given that there is not major dust activity in the Sahara desert, Iceland is these days the largest sources of aerosols into the Atlantic Ocean 1/2

🧪 Now that the higher resolution image arrived (MODIS), it is easier to make out what is dust and non-dust just by eye (or a trained eye, 😀) . Unfortunately, no images from the Sentinel/Landsat. @sheffielddust.bsky.social
