The Mets should’ve just been honest about what they’re doing instead of playing in our faces. It’s clear that they’re tearing the team apart and rebuilding.

The Mets aren’t spending. I suspect that they’re doing more than retooling. They’re not being honest with the fans. They’re going to have issues drawing fans to the stadium next year. I know that I’m not going. Also not buying a TV package next year.

It’s clear that there are major communication issues between the Mets Front Office and its free agents. They didn’t do much to retain Diaz and it shows. That’s on Stearns.

I guess that Stearns is doing damage control. Sorry, but there’s nothing that he can say that will fix this.

2024 was magical. 2025 has been disastrous. So many bad decisions and lost opportunities because of those bad decisions (from the front office and the manager).

Time & time again the Mets have failed to take action to address problems this season. It’s obvious Manaea is injured and shouldn’t be pitching but the Mets allowed him to start. The Mets aren’t making the playoffs due to the bad choices of the POBO and the manager. Pathetic, disgusting display!

With the exception of Roger’s the bullpen acquisitions at the deadline have been absolutely awful. I don’t think that it’s possible for them to have performed any worse than they’ve performed. The issues with this team remain. It’s not a playoff team.

The thing that’s most infuriating about the Mets 2025 collapse is that the signs were there and they did nothing to address it. They continued doing the same things with the same results. The only question about 2025 is who pays for the collapse?

The Mets should continue with the same approach re the pitching staff. They should keep pitching Montas & Holmes. They should also keep punting games. Re Manaea and Senga - they should keep ignoring the warning signs that they’re gassed & about to give up lots of runs!

There’s no sense of urgency with the Mets from the POBO to the manager to the players. They’re punting games in the middle of a playoff race. I honestly have no idea what the Mets are doing. Can’t acquire Juan Soto and have expectations for a deep playoff run and be this nonchalant about winning.

Maybe they’ll win tomorrow.

The only saving grace for this nightmare game is that the Phillies lost. But . . . the Mets will be out of the division and wild card races if this continues.
