Halftime Cosmos 0-0 Naples A fun, uptempo match from both sides. Neither could put one in the onion bag which feels apropos for their seasons. Cosmos defense has been fine. So, an improvement.

40' Tight, efficient passing in the Cosmos penalty area by Naples gets Miglietti in a dangerous position. But the Cosmos defense, specifically Sidoel, does an excellent job of quickly getting bodies on Miglietti whose shot goes stray. THAT is a defensive play which is very good to see from Cosmos.

37' Davey Mason with a patented deep run to the end line and cross into the box. It's slightly behind Mendonca who decides to take a touch instead of taking a shot on the turn. That gives Naples enough time to body him up which disrupts his shot.

29' Jawneh has taken some knocks but has caused one-on-one havoc against the Naples defense. Another solo chance is stopped via a nice reaction save from Delgado. "Fuckin' a bro!" he mouths on a close up.

25' Me every time Cosmos is playing defense.

100% I identify with Maryland more than the US.

Such an odd match to watch in person. Both teams obviously hampered by the first half heat. Second half had more going for it but both teams doing stuff rather than having good ideas. I will say, a lot of well-timed blocks from Jax defenders and the Jax keeper played very well.
