One other thought I had during yoga today, this album is the first that incorporates her partners perspective. I’m not sure I will say this well, but past songs were from her perspective - or third party stories. This includes her speaking to Travis & incorporating his vulnerabilities as well.

Went on TikTok to see fun videos and learned all new things I should be angry about on this album. I will fight the urge to repeat them bc wow it’s something, but with the world literally burning maybe all these outraged people should focus on that and not made up issues in songs.

Eldest Daughter just moved to top 5 of all time. I knew it was hitting a deep nerve with me but I just could not process the song itself. I’ll admit the early meme language tripped me up but this is a beautiful love song.

I feel that each song has specific musical references to a type of genre or point in time. We have discovered Jackson 5 and Jonas Bros. I truly believe Wood is a nod to Sabrina‘s style and is overtly meant to be cheeky but is actually about letting down barriers and opening one’s heart.
