The pocket park has had a fabulous makeover and I loved being at eye-level with the old tumble-down walls.it’s amazing the Victorian path has survived the modern development!

The hoard was found close to the Roman town of Durobrivae, west of Peterborough. If you want to see an excellent replica then I’d recommend a visit to Peterborough Museum where you can learn more about the context of the hoard and the other amazing local finds, and then go to the cathedral!

St Mary’s Church, Bexwell, Norfolk. A Round Tower church built of carrstone. Lower Saxon part was built in the 11th Century of random bits. Next section has 10 round-headed early belfry openings (now blocked) of squared stone. The belfry above was added in the 15th century. #SteepleSaturday
