From what I've seen, it seems as though some who talked to me about Ashen got the general gist of what I was going for, even if they didn't pick up on certain mechanics of the subconscious world or small bits of characterization. I'm so happy. I was really worried that the story wouldn't make sense.

This design is still really cute, but its a remnant of the time where Asher basically acted as an exposition dump. I'm glad I attempted to let the comic speak for itself.

i just wrapped up the final pages of ashen snow. i have to go back and fix errors and details in the final 10 pages or so, plus fix the entirety of the final page but like... that's what. one more session's worth of work? that's genuinely NOTHING. I am a weird bundle of emotions right now.

Today is Cinder's bday! I would have released Ashen today, but life/health kinda prevented it. A few days ago I knocked many pages out back to back, and I wanted to keep that streak up, but my body basically said "no fuck you, unrelated health scare" That said. It will be out by the end of June.

TADC Final Act was pretty good and outright delivered on everything Goose promised. I think the outrage over the leaks was purely based on what people thought the story was going to be versus what it wound up being.

It's kinda surreal seeing Ashen slowly come to fruition. We're almost there. It was only a few months to maybe a year ago when I first saw the beginning/end in my head in the shower and now Cinder is almost real! Crazy.

It just hit me that it's been a year exactly as of today since I started HRT. Holy shit.

Indie animators incorporating what they grew up with (anime, video games, etc) is no different than how movie directors incorporated aspects of the films that influenced them. We all put our influences into our art. It's what artists do.

I figured out one of my most cherished story ideas to its bare core and in the process realized my strength as a writer. Im going to fucking cry dawg this is awesome. Also uh. Ashen Snow Soon, I've just been on vacation!
