Today is my college-aged son’s birthday (hey James!). He is at U of Oregon and is doing great. He woke up this morning to news that his paper was accepted to a conference in Pittsburgh. Oh, and he currently has a 4.0 cumulative GPA. I am a proud as hell Dad.

Why doesn’t the Democratic Party state the obvious: the Republicans turned out the vote (he increased his 2020 total by about 300k) and the Dems didn’t get the extra 7+ million voters that Biden got to the polls. Period. If we had turned out in numbers equal to 2020, the swing states were ours.

I was a Republican. I believed in small Government, limited (but effective) regulation, all the things that the GOP once stood for. I even voted for Reagan the first time. That was a mistake. I now vote as an Independent, but haven’t voted for a Republican presidential candidate in years. 1/2
