There I fixed it! I'm no artist for
#TranspoBINGO
square 20, but I was sad when the B30 became the A76. My stop moved from right next to the metro with generous seating to crossing 2 streets and no seating. I see it's closer to the elevator, but it's nice to visualize some seating in that space.

Marked my “Track Your Transpo Impact”
#TranspoBINGO
square for attending the Upskilling Lab’s event for Ride Flow DC, an app designed to include multiple active transpo modes, and Ride Score DC, which will include a safety layer in route recommendations (eg protected bike lane vs paint). Cool stuff!

And if insurrection isn’t enough to disqualify someone from office by impeachment and conviction, then all other democratic institutions and processes exist more due to whim and inertia than as functional components within a constitutional system.

I say this every time something of note happens in DC and inevitably someone gets mad at me: It’s not just “where the government is.” It’s a real place with real people living in it. Reducing it to some playground of the elite and powerful is inaccurate and often racist

DC folks: be wary of the “ICE out of DC” protest PSL is organizing in the city tonight. It is not supported by local immigrant justice groups. Many local immigrants and immigrant justice groups have asked them to change the location because it puts the Latino community at risk. They said no.

This is what it looks like when an arm of the federal gov’t, due to a failure to uphold due process & principles of justice, becomes illegitimate. I don’t think our elected leaders get that. They’re lecturing people to stay off the highway when ICE is beating the shit out of anyone they want to…

It looks like the National Park Service paid Arcus Group $71,600 to install the fencing at Dupont Circle:
www.highergov.com/contract/140...
It stayed up for less than 24 hours — in large part because people visibly and vocally rejected it, and demanded it come down.
