In 2026, the UK state pension age will rise to 67 from 66, fully implemented by 2028. Rich retire whenever they want. The poor die at work, receive low pension, have shorter life. Low wages = low private pension. Neoliberals want to cut state pension, inflict more misery on millions.

State pension age to increase to new threshold for millions of people
An increase in the age is on the horizon after it was announced more than a decade ago.

Can't help but feel those responsible for Brexit should not, for example, be riding high in the polls with a new party...

Just watching 'Six Million Dollar Man', and trying to work out how, when Steve Austin is pegging it through the woods or suchlike, to make him appear like he's super quick, they slow the film down?

Why did the Metropolitan Police choose to make almost 900 arrests, when people in Edinburgh holding the same, or similar wording were allowed to unhindered?

Off this evening to the world premiere of 'Dreaming of You', at The Light Cinema New Brighton. The documentary charts the rise of the Coral. Band will be there, together with the director for a live Q&A. Event is sold out, and I'm looking forward to scran at Nickel City Kitchen beforehand.

Solo trip 'over the water' as we say to that Liverpool. Decent Guinness in one of my favourite hostelries this side of the river, Newington Temple.

Eldest made youngest and I 'traditional' Scottish brekkie this morning, which included Lorne sausage and haggis. I say 'traditional' as we had barbeque beans and Jamaican jerk sauce with it. Cheers, and a big shout out to all the dads, whether they be biological or not, on this Fathers Day!

Solo pint in the Tap, West Kirby. New cider as far as I'm concerned - 'Pulpt' slightly sparkling with a decent apple (who'd have thought it) aftertaste.

Alex, my eldest, just got back from a trip to Vietnam. He got to travel around, taking in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. He said it was a fascinating mix of both chaos and tranquility, and said he'd definitely return.

Probably heading over the water for a bit of a mooch with the youngest, taking in scran as we go. Also, in what is only a few short weeks, Newington Temple has reopened, along with The Pilgrim, and Mayflower. Reports to follow.
