Long overdue

Ten years ago today I was an emergency admission to hospital. The day my original life ended, and NHS began process of giving me a new one, or at least buying me some time. #plasmacytoma, something I had never heard of, was found to be the cause.

My maternal grandmother's 130th birthday today. #genealogy Had she not died in 1978, there would have been quite a party today.

Last year we received a new deposit of a cuttings book from the First World War, compiled by Lady Julia Inglefield of Beaconsfield. This book covers her work in caring for Belgian refugees and finding them employment in the local lacemaking industry.
