42° right now, dropping to 29° tonight & the next sev nights. Fall color really starting to pop along my area of the Snake. Area mtns are clouded in, but suspect snow fell on tops.

Change in weather by tonight. Lows this wkend to below freezing mark. Rain along river & snow forecast for area mtn peaks. Took these photos around noon, clouds arriving in earnest now. Weather change will peak the Fall color over next 10 days, or so. Definitely ready for the cooler temps!

Getting a bit more fall color daily along the Snake. Right now, mixed flocks of Yellow-rumped, Wilson's, a few Townsend's Warblers, along with Ruby-crowned Kinglets, are working thru the cottonwoods, on their trek South. Dropping into Upper 30s at night.

Something, back in the streamside willows, had this muledeer doe with ears forward & on "alert". She kept going back & forth & kept her twins in the middle of the yard. We've had sev muledeer taken by mtn lions on the place over the years. She stayed on hi alert for 1/2 hr. Never saw cause.
