That wine vat almost beats the Great Heidelberg Tun with its 219,000 liters capacity !

The The Guyot Training System being replaced by the Solar Panel Training system. The aesthetics may be questionable but this kind of compromise may be the part of the solution for agriculture in an overheating world.

I have tasted wine which was kept at 40 mt under the sea level for two years. The most intriguing aspect was the presence of all those intense tertiary notes, difficult to fathom for a wine that was only bottled back in 2021.

A fresh, and zingy Fins Ara, made from 100% Parellada, by Álvaro González Marcos in his small vineyard in Penedès. Álvaro is part of a growing number of small scale winemakers that produce wines with minimal intervention both in terms of agriculture and winemaking. 🍷🌍Tamboret, Tarragona.

Savouring this unfiltered Petit Clot by Baixas Lehnberg, made of 100% lightly pressed Macabeu grapes. There is no maceration involved, just fermented grape juice. The result is surprisingly complex in which the calcareous soil and the ancient sea bed of Catalunya's Alt Camp find themselves at home.

Some excellent wines at the Embutata in Tarragona this weekend. Especially striking are the white wines coming out from the Alt Camp area in the south if Catalonia, with a modern, fresh, crunchy profile, relatively low alcohol, complex acidity and great salinity. Perfect for a scorching summer.
