My daughter pulled a chair into the middle of the living room and yelled through a toilet paper roll, “family meeting.” It’s 11:26 am and I am over parenting for the day.

I want to get my nails done. It’s been raining. I don’t like driving in the rain. My normal nail salon is a bit away and would require me to drive on the freeway in the rain and dark. Or I can go to the nail salon I don’t really like but it’s down the street and wouldn’t need to go on the freeway.
