in 2026 i'm going to write little essays about skateboarding and life and send them by email to people who'd like to receive them. substack is very bad, metrics are death, and i'd like to write less publicly about these things. DM or respond with an email addy if you'd like to be included!

The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old mother fatally shot by ICE, shows that ICE can’t be reformed and must be abolished. I’ll be introducing the Abolish ICE Act as a step toward justice, accountability, and humanity in our immigration policy. Time to melt ICE.

The best book I read this year was Let the Boys Play by Nicholas John Turner and I believe the same is almost certainly true for everyone who read Let the Boys Play this year. Except also maybe best was Is a River Alive? by Robert Macfarlane. Also State Champ by Hilary Plum. There are others, too.
