Tire was down to 25 psi this morning, but after giving it some spins, and a soapy spray test, I can't find anything. So maybe fixed? Still gonna ride it and try and enjoy it. Got the other tire done too! Also passed the soap test.

First tubeless tire conversion done! I have been so looking forward to the brown sidewall of the GP 5000s and am so happy to see them. Will do the other one tomorrow morning... Because it's late. Definitely not because I am worried that this one will go flat. No definitely not that.

Did so much today! Took panda to the Mohs. Got my whole bike ride in! Set a 5 minute power PB. Rode motorcycle to work, grabbing lunch halfway there. Squeezed my brain hard at work. Threw out our Christmas tree and cleaned up after it. Dinner out and grocery shopping. Oh, and I did stretches!

My boss is underserving of his position when he declares to a group "AI could do this control problem better" because he should know that "AI" shouldn't be used for a fucking controls problem operating in the MHz range.

FTP and TTE test today: 53 minutes at 236W. On one hand, I part of me is like "Oh, I wish I could have done a higher power" and definitely "oh I wish I could have gone longer", but I really did give it my best until I couldn't and that's exactly what it was supposed to be.

Hearing test was mostly good news. My hearing is excellent, and there is something different between left and right side in terms of acoustic response. So maybe the ringing is physical instead?

Added box jumps to the gym routine for fun. Woke up with some DEEP abdominal soreness that I didn't expect. I love soreness from novel exorcises!

Camera shop said neither of their repair shops can fix my just-barely-to-old DSLR. So I guess time to look at used? New seems like it's not worth it, because I just don't use them a lot. But I'd like to have something modern at hand.

Tried riding Route 1 and only managed 40 minutes before I decided to turn around. It was cold, windy, hilly, and the cars sucked, but worst of all, it was just boring!

Cooking pancakes in a beach house taught me why my pancakes at home are so flat - I'm not cooking them hot enough! Using a different skillet (small, thin) and a different stove made my almost burn them, but they're fluffy! Because baking powder.

For Christmas, the spirits decided to move all the rain until this afternoon so I could get a bike ride in! They clearly weren't that generous though by throwing a tornado warning when I was within 5 minutes of home.

I can't believe I feel this grateful to myself for going on an actual vacation. Just... Wow!

In the 10 minutes between checking outside and when I got outside, it started raining, so I guess no ride. Vibes we're sorta awful anyways, so I guess that's a good thing.

Made reverse sear burgers. Definitely more happy with the results, and less stressful, even if it took longer. I really dislike using a stovetop for burgers. I think it's a skill issue, but I feel like I should have figure that out after all this time.

Last night I dreamed I got to see Sammy again. Laying on his side, on the floor, just petting him. I've never experienced the sensation of crying while dreaming before. It made me so happy to see him. I miss him so much.

Grandpa sent some steaks as a Christmas gift! First time making steaks in forever. Really worth the effort to add all the sides. I made a sauce from the steak drippings, just winging it, and it was great. Hard to go wrong with sour cream, butter, plus some steak bits.

Made lemon jam last night. It's sweet to the point of being candy. The jelly tastes like lemon flavored Jollyrancher. The chunks of lemon actually taste like lemon. I was actually hoping for something sweet and sour. This is just too sweet. And I even used less sugar!

I work slow and methodically. I am big on tests and worry about little details. Sometimes that means it takes a while to make even small changes. But all of that is worth it for days like today, where the first run of a new feature that could break everything works exactly as expected, no fuss.

Today is a mid-week rest day, which I never have. So I spent the morning making raspberry jam and pancakes! And it's still early enough that I get to watch something while eating these!

My health insurance sent me a letter saying they tried to call me and I didn't pick up. Literally a letter saying "Answer your phone."

Using Grocy has made me actually go through grocery store receipts, in order to add things I forgot to put on my list. And doing that has made me catch at least two occurrences of duplicate scans. I am fearful of turning into "that guy who cares way too much about the receipt".

As someone who does baking/cooking a lot when processing "stuff", the fact that I am trying to plan on making mille-feuille should probably be an alarm.
