As game dev I often wonder if my intuition about the Steam market matches reality. So I did a small game to test it: Guess how many reviews a random game has. You can now play it too on steamle.com

Today we’re getting a barrage of new game announcements, but I wanted to share recent releases you’ve missed in ✨Underrepresented Steam Games✨. These are games that have less than 50 reviews that deserve attention. Feel free to spread the list and share if you know someone who covers small games.

TOJam (@torontogamejam.bsky.social) was a great success with 98 games submitted and 1 support request for submission when I checked yesterday. Post-TOJam I put together a quick bug fix for Psychorama (Xbox One) and am just waiting on cert for that project to be 100% done. Day job is going well

It is way past my bedtime but the master list and seating map for TOJam are finalized and the team is poised and prepared for venue setup tomorrow night before the jam on FRIDAY!!

I've been super busy this last month with work and TOJam preparations but it all comes together this week for wins across the board!

I got to spend a few hours today volunteering in my son's ISP class, mostly just hanging out with my boy and watching him interact with his peers. I really appreciate the opportunity to do this and the face time with his teachers as well. So proud of his progress!

Working on the main UI for the app K and I are making for our son. Everything looks like butts (programmer art) but the INFINITE MENU SLICES functionality is hot fire!

Took my daughter to school in the big sled this morning, which always gets questions, since the big sled I use to pull my kids in is a snowmobile utility sled, heh. Two of her friends jumped in and the three of them got run around the school front field a bit. XD

I just finished a technical test, clone an existing iOS game minus a couple of extra features. I have the Unity project on a git repo in its final form, all written to my standards for clean code, and an accompanying readme which is the entire development log of how I built it. Anyone wanna see it?

I'm helping out a local indie game company and just got their Unity game running on a console devkit. Very exciting! While I've built games and written code for projects that ended up on console this is the first time going through the certification process myself.
