A Pioneer list I've been brewing with this week on Arena. Been running Bo1 currently as I'm tuning the main deck. I feel like the Silversmote/Vulture package is the most flexible bit, as is alternating between Claim//Fame and Helping Hand depending on targets. moxfield.com/decks/naDd3V...

Loading up Arena just now felt so jarring seeing the Marvel SH keyart there. It just didn't feel right. Felt more like something I would see playing Marvel Strikeforce or SNAP. Not Magic. Didn't notice it with TMNT or ATLA. And I foresee it just being worse with Star Trek.

Looking at all these Marvel card spoilers and all I feel is "meh". I think product fatigue is getting to me as I'll forget about most of these cards approximately one month post release.

After doing shenanigans with Academy Manufactor on Brawl.... And the printing of Mathemagics. And just Quandrix in general. I feel like I want to build a commander deck with Zimone. And just call it "Math". Win-cons could be Mathemagics, Night of Sweets Revenge and Finale of Devastation.

Might be a good time to stop playing Arena for the time being. Sucks, as I'm losing more and more avenues to play Magic, but if capitalism and the corporate hellscape is making it so my hobby is coming at the cost of others, then I need a new hobby.

I like brewing Commander stuff but don't necessarily like grouping with random pods. Anybody got a regular playgroup they wouldn't mind having an extra person rotate in and out of? Doesn't have to be for content, but just webcam games is fine.

Thinking about pivoting to Dimir Mid for Modern. Esper was a rough choice for last weekend, but did have some things I liked. I kind of like how Planeswalkers aren't the dominant force much lately, but that's more because I think creatures are so heavily power crept now.

Adrix and Nev being a Brawl commander now on Arena... Lets me do fun stupid shenanigans that sometimes wins. Regularly having 5 Academy Manufactors out is kinda busted and I'm glad I don't have to do the math.

I forgot to post up the list that I won the RCQ with on Friday. moxfield.com/decks/PBJlJQ... Dimir Elementals. Played against a similar list at MKE. Experimented with Grixis, but manabase feels better with Dimir. Solid midrange plan with good card draw, disruption. Continue to tweak for DC.

Just qualified for DC with Dimir Elementals! Had to beat 2 Rakdos Discard decks in top 4.

Superior Spiderman is the reason why stores need to hire judges for Magic events. IYKYK. Rules interactions are fun.

Won 1 Store Championship over the weekend. Felt pretty solid with my Standard list and I think I've got it tuned for what I'm running Milwaukee. Dimir Midrange it is.

As an update for Magic, I've still been judging RCQs around the Charlotte area and prepping for RC Milwaukee. Fairly certain I'm going to register a Dimir Midrange list. Been looking over recent results for updated tech and what not. I'm still liking my own spice of playing 2 Malcolm in the main.

Been awhile since I've posted an update on here since I mostly post personal stuff on Threads. Started weight loss as my goal for the year. On Ozempic, working out daily. Mental health boosted, other tangible numbers improved and down 20lbs. Started regular bi-weekly therapy. Things are good.
