Cairn is available now. This grueling mountain-climbing adventure offers a compelling character portrait and some of the most boldly confident design choices I've seen in some time. It requires massive amounts of patience, never gives an inch, but it's an absolute masterpiece. Score: 10/10

Artist Sal Buscema has passed. Always more underrated than some other comic-book giants, Sal was a cornerstone of Marvel from 1968-2010, including a 10-year run(!) on THE INCREDIBLE HULK. He co-created ROM: SPACEKNIGHT, the first comic I bought after STAR WARS, and his work made me love the medium ❤️
