There were 246 evictions filed throughout Minnesota last Friday 11/21, which is the highest rate for a single day in at least 3 years (probably longer). 74 of the cases were filed by the St. Paul Public Housing Agency.

St. Paul is wild. I observed an unattended campfire on my run along the Vento trail, & the Fire Department isn't answering their general phone number. On my way back along Phalen I was nearly hit twice by cars turning right while I had a green pedestrian walk signal. Unsurprisingly, one was a Tesla.

Yesterday the Housing & Redevelopment Authority of Duluth filed 11 evictions. Same HRA whose director advocated against Duluth's new Repair & Deduct law (that passed with more than 2/3rd's of the vote)—calling it "a dangerous experiment," apparently due to her own biases & stereotypes about renters.
