I know it's not usual or even very good for a character describe their LI as "unattractive". But I've kinda done so. On purpose! He's not the main LI but it's very intentional in his character design that he's the most mid/average man ever. But that's what makes the other characters so into him.

Just finished reading: The Woods All Black by Lee Mandelo Definitely what I needed to read right now. Short but certainly not overly sweet, just a dash. Very cathartic.

Sex scenes are almost never "gratuitous" or "unnecessary." You learn things about characters and relationships during sex that you can't really learn any other way, such as whether they're into fisting.
