I think this is true. You see it in the rejection of ai and embracing of physical tangible media, of printmaking and pencil drawings and mistakes and vhs bootlegs and libraries. The line between folk art and product has always been blurry in this scene but it’s a great time to embrace the former.

@worldchamp.bsky.social's entire work. Adam Vass's focus on mixed media and a visually distorted style feels really resonant with a lot of grunge themes, including punks in a time loop, animalfolk in a post-human waste-world, and a cyberpunk game about surviving in a world full of warped tech.
