Really it's just an appreciation newsletter for a lot of what's inspiring me lately, but each entry has a screenshot beautiful things - games, illustrators, comic creators/publishers, graphic designers, and the like.

I think about this polar aspect of @willjobst.bsky.social ‘s Torq all the time, implied in many games but explicit here, play is made of 2 distinct modes: action (racing/combat) & chilling (social, exploration, lore, plot hooks, etc). Either stand alone, rhyme but different mechanics, shine together

Fractal Romance is a ttrpg I don't talk nearly enough about tbh. It's a weird, abstract, chill, hangout kind of game. You use a deck of cards to both generate the spaces you explore and denizens you encounter, as well as "tokens" to spend on moves. It's also been compared to Paradise Killer!

This review (correctly) compares Cameron to Rowling as being someone with a singular toxic obsession (the alleged weakness of the Lakota Sioux), but forgets his even more toxic obsession—AI. Don’t forget he’s a board member at StabilityAI and spending money on his movies funds AI development.
