Oh god, if today is the 37th anniversary of Tim Burton’s Batman, then it’s also the 37th anniversary of when I was dragged to see Cats.

The eldest, at 20, has discovered Star Wars. Last year it was David Lynch. Yesterday I asked if she was aware that Lynch had been asked to direct Return of the Jedi.

Did the hike up to Weverton Cliffs this morning while the kids were working. Been a few years since I’ve done it. Need to keep doing it.

There’s a couple few things in Off the Reservation that made me think of this, and today’s a good day to say it, but “My Dad’s in this movie.”

Having a very difficult time finishing Off the Reservation. Every time I’ve picked it up, something awful happens (most recently a “hey dad, something carnivorous breached the chicken coop” text).

Had a mayor’s lunch today and not a single one of them was watching Widow’s Bay. Hoping to remedy that.

So about eight years ago I took Tilda to a John Waters book signing. She was still in high school and my goal was to get copies of Make Trouble signed for future graduation presents for both of my kids. It was hard to keep this one secret, and I told John what I was doing.

And now we have a college graduate.
