24 years after 9/11, we pause to remember the thousands of lives lost, honor those still living with its impacts, and stand with the families forever changed. We hold in our hearts their memory and the resilience of New Yorkers who came together in the face of tragedy. May we Never Forget.

We were delighted to welcome our colleagues from the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) for a tour of our exhibit, Living in the Shade! Make sure to see it before May 23rd.

For #BlackHistoryMonth, we found this photograph in the @council.nyc.gov Collection showing the first Black City Councilmember, Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., being sworn in by Mayor La Guardia in 1942. Three years later, Powell would go on to the United States House of Representatives.
