I have been around a while & have never been a yes person either as an elected official or citizen interested in public policy. I simply don’t have that in my DNA. I will criticize people I endorse and like including @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social if I feel strongly about an issue

@uber drivers in NYC need to go through same background checks that NYC cab drivers are subjected to before they are qualified as drivers. The Taxi & Limousine Commission can administer checks. Times article points out Uber hires drivers who committed violent felonies including rape.
