Started a new draft this morning. About 2k words into it now, after my morning writing session. Not sure I'll get more writing time today, but that's a good start toward 80,000 words or so!

#queerwriters goals day: I want to settle a relatively stressful work situation early this week. Then I can turn my attention to book stuff! Hoping to finish fourth pages for my next book (out July 28), plus work on revisions for Zodiac Book 9, and start drafting Book 10!

Bunny update: still five in the nest this morning. Momma has been back every morning/evening. We (stupidly) named them: Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, Peter, and Benjamin. Don't ask me which is which.

The temptation to work on Murder Polycule 3 is so strong. Working on revisions for another book instead.

Reminder to myself and for everyone who needs to hear it you can restart progress to your goals any time you want. It's July, the midpoint, so do a half year reset if you want! Do a reset each month! Good morning! I finished the first draft of Murder Polycule. We're shy of 105k words. Now it will sit and mellow for a while before I take the revision hatchet to it. Annnnnd I have notes for a third book in the series! (Probably won't touch that for a bit; got to hop back to other series now.)

Morning writing session in the bag. I think I hit my daily goal (5k words), which brings me within 1k of the finish line ... Finishing touches will go on the epilogue soon! Baby bunnies still in the garden, but they seem dry despite the absolute downpour we had, so I think mama was back.

For anyone interested: the nest of baby bunnies in my garden box tonight. I'm counting about five. The garden is fenced, but otherwise not very protected. We are hopeful momma bunny will choose to move them. Also: I watered the garden at 4, and I didn't water any rabbits, so this happened fast!

A great Friday morning writing session: another 3k words in the WIP. Almost to 94k words. I'm at the tail end of the final boss battle (so to speak). I might need another chapter to wrap this all up, and then the epilogue. I might fall a little short of the 100k-word estimate, but that's okay!

Okay, the daycare situation seems like it's *mostly* resolved. I still have to meet with like 4 different people and sign agreements and stuff, but LO will have care and I won't have to shutter my freelance business in my busiest month since getting laid off in March, YAY!

#LGBTQWriteAThon D29: weekly goals Well, I had a few, but we were just told our daycare is closing permanently in 30 days, so, uh, "find new daycare" is kind of my top priority rn. Also: don't panic. I will see what else I can get done around that, I guess?

I have to end my morning writing session, stopping just shy of 3,000 words (2,800 or so). The manuscript is at almost 83k words! Entering the home stretch with this one; we're almost to the big "boss" fight at the end. I think there are 5-ish chapters left.
