Since 2022, Brad Gushue played 17 games against American teams. He went 13-4 (2 losses to Shuster, 2 losses to Dropkin) in those games. He beat them, and now he's leading the program.

USA Curling announcing Brad Gushue as their new High Performance Director. Of all the names I mulled over as possibilities, this was never one of them. He retired at his hometown Brier, now he takes leadership over the program of his neighbors to the south.

I have had a hard time convincing myself in the last couple years to spend money to support the Twins because of their lack of investment. I had an easy time convincing myself to suppor great, high quality of the Twins.

The first place team in the AL Central is 1.5 games back of the last place team in the NL Central.

This popped up in my memories, and it feels like a lifetime ago. Then I realize that it kinda was, it's been a decade since I wore the green and gray.

Quite the season for Rich Ruohonen. After years of trying and a number of close calls, he makes it to his first Winter Olympics and became the oldest Winter Olympian to compete for the United States. And today, he wins a gold medal at the World Senior Curling Championships.

Dallas-Fort Worth Curling Club shared some images of progress on their dedicated curling facility. The club has been working on this dream for years, and 5 sheets of dedicated curling ice in the 4th-largest metro in the country is about to be a reality.

Marathon #9 in state #8 done. Getting to run in Tracktown, USA was incredible. Running on the track at Hayward Field for the finish is something I won't soon forget. It was my least successful training cycle (thanks to curling & health stuff), but still another finish. Onward. Forward.

Due to my my 6-year-old running watch finally showing its age, I decided it was time to buy a new one so I didn't have to worry about it for my race this weekend. I went to my local running store and bought one last week.

Exciting announcement from USA Curling as they are tapping Dallas-Fort Worth Curling Club to host arena nationals in November! DFW is in the process of converting a building into a dedicated curling facility, bringing 5 sheets of curling ice to Texas!

Frontier Curling Club doing a hobby horse celebration, if they can get it refined and synced up, will be right up there with Northern United's wolf howl.

NORTHERN UNITED 🐺 FOR THE WIN Howling to victory once again. It came down to the last rock across the three sheets and Bella Wrana delivers a hit for three and the win over Shield. Northern United is 2-0. Shield drops to 1-1.

I am not sure if the finish of the first ever match of Rock League could have gone much better with two games coming down to the final stone. All the players gathered around the sheet of the men's game for the final shot. Really cool.

This initial Rock League broadcast is the first time for a new thing, so certainly some growing pains and technical things to work through which I expect we will see this week or for next season. But biggest positive for me is the pace. I can't look away.

Curling is NOT OVER This week begins a very interesting project, Rock League, done by the Grand Slam of Curling. They have created six professional teams that will play mens, womens, mixed, and mixed doubles games with some experimental rules (7 ends, expanded no-tick, 2-point pinhole, etc)
