I usually look at the jam’s theme and try to develop something from scratch, however small, to submit. I enjoy the creative environments of game jams and challenging myself with stuff I wouldn’t normally go for.

This is very relatable because I too shout out his name randomly on a regular basis since I first played Final Fantasy IV all those years ago. I am doing the dishes or walking to the market or hanging out with friends and suddenly my brain is like KAIN HIGHWIND. So, I understand.

Trying to come up with a fun "deduction" screen for Blooming Suspicion. We wanted a more tangible way of making people feel progress in the mystery other than just collecting more and more clues. Are there any favorite games with that kind of system you can recommend?

We finally figured out how to give more agency to all of our characters in our game. Now it's basically all of them sneaking around each other while Benny Hill theme is playing in the background and we love it.

This is the one game I'm looking forward to the most. 🌻 I can't recommend The Blackwell Legacy series and Unavowed enough. I think I played every single game Wadjet Eye Games developed and/or published and there isn't one I didn't love.

My Game Design teacher from uni has a lot of amazing articles he wrote a decade ago that are still incredible resources today. I can't recommend them enough!

This game was so atmospheric and captivating. I love arthouse movies and Russian literature, so this was exactly my type of story. I haven't found it particularly disturbing but still you may want to check the content warnings before playing. 🌊

I don’t hate drawing backgrounds but I love programming so much that the second we can afford it, I am never drawing them for work again. It is too stressful and I am not good at bringing our visions to life. 🥲 I’d rather keep illustration a hobby.

My teammate and I decided on a last minute entry to Winter Visual Novel Jam 2024. I overestimated my ability to draw backgrounds quickly but thankfully I work with 800% efficiency with an imminent deadline.

Took some time off and finally refilled the creative well to get back to work!
