Perhaps predictably, I am now being called a warmonger for saying don’t just cut the defense budget but do fewer wars too. This website is absolutely wild.

I know the defense budget looks big and bad, but one of the reasons I retired is because drill pay + travel reimbursement didn’t cover the actual travel cost to get to drill. I was paying out of pocket every month to drill, and a lot of other folks were too.
