Our (almost) 15yo cat, Figaro, has been going through a bit of a journey this year! In February he started shots for arthritis. Today he was diagnosed with glaucoma. Lots of changes as we head into supporting his super senior stage of life but I’m so grateful to be on this journey with him! ❤️❤️

My oldest cat, Figaro, had a rough day today that resulted in a severe arthritis diagnosis, trying a new arthritis shot, and a day of wobbley wobbles from meds. But now my little old man is fast asleep in his favorite spot (my lap) and that still makes the day about perfect for me 💙💙

Whole thread but especially this. My view from Minneapolis is that I'm surrounded by acts and messages of solidarity, support, and defiance, and some of them make me cringe but THAT'S OKAY, it's not all FOR me. It all adds up. There is power in the accumulation of signs, gestures and assistance.

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
