Bleach: ReBirth of Souls is the most disappointed I’ve felt playing a game I’ve been looking forward to in quite awhile. I think I’m ready to move on from the Animè arena fighter thing.

I just don’t understand why we are taking a step back from World’s living ecosystem and fantastic exploration as well as Rise’s great pacing. Wilds is claimed to be a spiritual successor to World, but it definitely isn’t presented as such nor does it play like it

Monster Hunter World > Rise > Wilds I do not enjoy on-rails walking segments with bad dialogue and an inability to venture off-path. That is at least 60% of Wilds’ gameplay 6 hours and 7 hunts in. When exploring, you are encouraged not to hunt any monsters you don’t have a quest line for yet.

Finally pulled my Grail on #PTCGP and not a penny spent in order to do so. I came so close to putting money in to it though! I wanted this card so bad

Star of Providence is a great addition to the Switch’s library of twin-stick shooters, roguelites and dungeon crawlers! If you like Gradius, Enter The Gungeon, Nuclear Throne, ZeroGunner, etc. this is a must! The spooky atmosphere was a great surprise too. nintendowire.com/reviews/star...

Tried Neon Abyss today just in time for the sequel. What an awesome roguelike! The weapons are just as wacky and awesome as Gungeon’s and the creature hatching element was unexpected and cool.

Looks like Chuck E. Cheese (CEC Entertainment Concepts L.P.) is going to begin opening mall arcades in Simon Malls across the US. Using the 70’s/80’s mascot and logo styling is a cool choice if looking to pull in multiple generations of people.

Really enjoying Avowed so far. The combat and amount of weapon options/builds is freaking fantastic. Love the world, enjoying the characters and dialogue and the fact I could choose my backstory before beginning the game. I haven’t played an Elder Scrolls-like game in years, so this is refreshing.

Another weekend of gaming. Finished Donkey Kong Country 2, *attempted* Killing Time: Resurrected and started Shovel Knight Treasure Trove. Honestly, anything after DKC2 feels like a downgrade.

Parasomnia, the new Dream Theater record, is fantastic. And so were their previous 7 albums. Seriously, these guys are on a roll and have been on a roll for the past decade and a half at the very least. Dead Asleep and Bend The Clock are my first listen highlights. Really awesome.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players: I have a question. Do you still play the game? And if so, what has kept you coming back to it?

Street Fighter 6 and TEKKEN 8 have upped the quality of what AAA fighting games can be mechanically and going back to both is so easy for me to do. Just blows my mind that neither have an arcade cabinet & still turned out as good as they did. Arcades are pivotal to the energy of these games.
