Doing a production of Guy Who Didnt Like Musicals and finally feeling inspired to draw again

I draw myself a lot not only because it gives me an excuse to try new styles, but it also helps me form a sense of self. Something I am in desperate need of right now.

Looking at artists I love and feeling a mix of "I need to draw now to get better!" And "why bother I'll never be that good." Both of these are equally strong and it ends up with me working, just veeeeery slowly

I draw one picture roughly every 3 months and this is the most productive I have ever been

I wanna go back over this and color it, but I'm gonna post this now before I mess it up

Doing the draw-a-box course and I know he said to do the 50% rule to draw for fun outside of the course, but I have never felt more zen drawing than I do during the exercises. It's incredible.

inking traditionally, speedball superblack , GPen nib in a tachikawa nib holder. I have less control over a dip pen, but get a lot more happy accidents. Kind of have to go with the flow of it. this is on 11x17 canson comic paper.
