The university in the Black Country directly employs 4500 people, virtually all in the area. Thousands more jobs are supported by it, such as the nurses who trained there, and spin-offs. Jobs are being cut, pay is being reduced, campuses are closing. Everyone benefits from its graduates. Help it.

What a response. Unis are in such trouble that Labour should be actively modelling scenarios like university closures in their constituencies so you know the employment and cultural impacts. When it happens it will be much worse than Labour realises, for everyone, not just students and employees.
