Dog friend, very amateur guitarist, egg maestro, left of centre-left, occasional beer imbiber.
I always think Kernel are rightly lauded for their pale hoppy beers, but they are genuinely exceptional at malt forward beer styles. And these are just superb.

It's pretty good luck to have a local that's a 1 minute walk away and does very decent pints of cask for Β£3.40 π

Not had these for a long time and they are still very good beers indeed tbf. Wyoming is almost as tasty as I remember it being when I last tried it in ye olden days* of craft beer. *7-8 years ago

Lovely evening

last night. Stein of Octoberfest Paulaner and pizza from Bove's out the back (Stan had a bit of crust). Very lucky to have this place as our local π

Inspired by a recent
@tigger2017.bsky.social
tweet decided to order some Buxton beers. Remember being blown away by Wyoming, King Slayer etc. in the olden days of craft beer so looking forward to these π (and the BA saisons and triple..) And Β£60 for the lot with free delivery π₯³

Years ago I used to be a bit sniffy about Bank Top beers. Maybe I'd heard a bit of talk about them being very trad & bland. But this dark mild is very good. And so are a fair few of their pale beers. And in a world of inflation, pints at Β£3.40 doesn't hurt π

Back home from a short trip to Spain but nice to find Whiplash beer Rollover* on at Beer 33** in Horwich. Pretty sure I first tried their beer at a Brettfest homebrewers event 6 years ago in cans. How time flies. *a very good 3.8% hazy pale for those interested **I refuse to call it B33R@33
