I had a look at RapidRaw again after not looking at it for quite some time. As a free alternative to LR or anything else, it seems to have improved by leaps and bounds over the past few months, at least on Linux. It is worth investigating and playing with. www.getrapidraw.com

Elle Among the Grass, 2025 I relented after experimenting with all sorts of open source and paid software options for at least a year, and purchased DxO Photolab (same price as 1 year of Adobe, but no subscription). Freedom from perpetual slavery and I'll be good for a few years now.

I'm not a fan of AI, and there is a lot in the RapidRaw project, but damn it is shaping up to be the future and free replacement for Lightroom. Screenshot running on Ubuntu Linux 24 - it's a bit sluggish, but still quite amazing. Long live open source. Can get here github.com/CyberTimon/R...
