Successfully taught my cat not to run like a prey animal from dogs while we’re out on walks, so now when she sees them coming she instead sits down and *refuses* to move until they’ve passed us. Next challenge is convincing her it’s safe and correct to walk calmly ahead of them!

Finally finished this up! It's done in watercolor, gouache, and color pencils. I know I should try to render it in more detail but I'm not sure I want to. I like the texture being able to be textures. Maybe that will change in the future. For now, though, I like it 😅

The Beast whomst lives in my house. Sound on!!!

Writing this story made me happy in a dark time. I talked to half a dozen people who started queer bookstores in their communities, and what I heard gave me hope. These aren't just bookstores — they're a lifeline for people who have no place else to go.

Migraine brain struck and the two cinema doors labeled “Arco/Frankenstein” and “Frankenstein/Arco” tricked me into going into the wrong movie. I was so so confused for a solid 7 minutes.

This is my day off. A day off for having a day off instead of a day off because I’m sick or hurting or at medical appointments that invariably lead to dead ends. I’m getting a breakfast sandwich at the gay bagel shop and taking the cat for a walk and seeing a movie.

Sent a mildly snarky response to my PCP’s office asking why I “haven’t been seen in over a year” when she’d been out for most of it on maternity leave and then cancelled my last appointment for unknown reasons. If I didn’t need this Lexapro refill to stay alive I’d just not go back.

Sorry in advance for big feelings online. It’s almost the anniversary of the endometrial biopsy that I didn’t want, didn’t need, was denied pain management for, and ruined my life. I just canceled an appointment for an epidural injection that I can’t afford and probably wouldn’t have helped.
