context engineering in ai is a thing because it's really just working memory optimization. both humans and machines have distinct working memory vs. long-term storage mechanisms. more on this in the podcast (links in reply) h/t @hubermanlab for a great episode on memory (also linked in reply)

I always found the answer to be the least interesting part anyway, and this hasn’t changed with AI. Doing it asynchronously is silly as heck though, you won’t get any signal from that.

@vercel.com
does devrel extremely well because it's more "build in public" than shilling. you don't need "devrel" in your title. you just need to build things youre proud of and share them.

Leetcode interviews don't make sense anymore with AI. Is it cheating or is it just modern engineering? Is tech interviewing totally broken?

Steve Jobs wasn't the best coder in the room. Neither is the person who just got promoted over you. The best communicators aren't always the smartest engineers—they are the ones who make you feel something. Here is the difference explained:

Stop rambling. If you can’t summarize your thesis in one sentence, you don’t understand it well enough to teach it. Here is the template: "I believe [X] because [Y], so we should [Z]." Try it for your next meeting.

"We are a family" usually means "We expect you to work unpaid overtime." 🚩 If the vibes are off, it’s because the alignment isn't there. It’s the corporate equivalent of the "ick." Here is why you should trust your peripheral vision when evaluating a company culture.

Ever get a weird vibe from a leader but can't explain why? Your brain detects when words ("I don't care about money") don't match actions (turning a non-profit into a for-profit). Trust your gut. 🧠 We explore this in the latest episode of ConTejas on effective communication. Full ep in reply.

"Communication is not what you say, it's what they understand." This quote legitimately shook me from the ConTejas Code podcast where it immediately explained why people like my talks as much as they do: I instinctively/subconsciously make sure they understand, not just that I speak.

“f you money” just reveals a really dark heart. i have a lot of money and could technically retire today if i wanted, but no matter how much money i have, id never think/say “f you” but instead i can (and do) pump it into things to help them grow healthily.
