Day 4 of #repostyourart is Cat/Dog, and I owe so much of my recent artistic development to my sweet angels. I would not be where I am without them inspiring me. Thank you Daphne, Marley, and Duffy for being so beautiful.

I spent all day doing yard work and working out and then sort of collapsed onto the couch, so now I am sketching this tree at sunset for today’s #pleinairpril before I go see Project Hail Mary! I promise it won’t be all trees all month.

First camping trip of the year was a success! I made lots of art! Here's a sketch of Deception Island from this morning. I kept it B&W because I was waiting for Spenser to be done with some work before we moved, and I knew as soon as I added wet paint it would be time to skedaddle.

I am pretty sure today was my first time sketching outside for the year! I was testing out a newish set-up. It was a lovely day at the UW Quad, though I wished I hadn't been sitting in the shade because 🥶. Should I do #pleinairpril this year? I feel like I should!

Here's another recent painting of Deadman's Cove in Cape Disappointment State Park, one of the least disappointing places to visit. I'm pretty sure whoever named it that did it so they could get all the best campsites for themselves. I can't wait to go camping again! #watercolor #pnwonderland

fun reminder: the reason why they make these fucking pointless "live action" remakes is because since it's "live action", the animation is considered "vfx" and not character animation, so they can pay these non-unionized satellite studios fuck-all and make a cool few million for essentially nothing
