My favourite cable channel discussed the Canadian / US relationship today. The vibes I picked up was a lot of blaming Trump solely, not the American people supporting him. I felt like shaking the TV.

The Rutte/Trump meeting infuriates me to no end. Rutte, the ultimate a€€kisser and Trump the ultimate bully, thinking he is the king of all countries. Trump did this, unprompted and without consultation - it's his to bear and fix. I never ever wished for someone to drop dead.

I feel sick to my stomach waiting around to see what atrocity Trump has in mind for the people of Iran this evening. It's hard to fathom our other elected leaders aren't able to check him in any meaningful way. It's an indictment not just of voters but of our whole system. We're ruled by a mad king.

America is insane if there is truly no way to stop the insane old bastard from being allowed to rule by temper tantrum. Even by that scumbag's standards this is beyond the pale.
