I just finished reading REMBRANDT'S PROMISE, Barbara Leahy's @barbleahy.bsky.social debut novel, and it's a TRIUMPH! With her vivid depiction of the Low Countries during the Dutch Golden Age, and with such rich characters, I can only guess that Barbara has a time machine! Get it on March 27!

There's a sign out in front of Kerouac House where I'm in residence. At least once a day, someone pulls up in their car or on foot to read it. Three people from England just stopped by. The man, a huge Kerouac fan. I let them in and gave them a tour. It was so lovely to chat with them! 💙
