Flaum Eye Researchers Share Their Visions with Congress Today. FEI scientists, Matthew Cavanaugh, PhD, and Sara Patterson, PhD, were part of a select group who got to present their work on Capitol Hill. Their visit is part of a program that introduces emerging vision scientists to Congress.

What is the end goal for the research? For Matt Cavanaugh, he would like to have the treatments in the labs at Flaum, more widely available for patients Matt is heading to Washington D.C. this week, to advocate to congress for continued support of vision research.

As we get closer to the back-to-school season, we want to give a shoutout to our MobilEyes team. Throughout the school year, they travel to school districts around the area to provide vision screenings to children. Thank you for all the work you do!

You can help keep your kids' eyes safe, and they can look stylish too! Children's eyes are more vulnerable to UV radiation, because they have lenses that allow more sunlight to reach the retina. Sunglasses and hats can help keep their eyes safe.
