Trump Media, the parent company of Truth Social, is absolutely tanking. The company burned through over $700 million dollars while bringing in just $3.7 million in revenue. It merged with a nuclear fusion firm, bought a bunch of bitcoin, floated a spin-off of Truth Social. None of it has worked.

Caving to bullies is never a good idea. It’s never good journalism, either. Particularly for a public broadcast that could use this moment to say: “we’re not CBS, we don’t need Trump’s approval for mergers - we proudly serve our viewers and will keep doing so, even if some politicians don’t like it”
