Just finished reading the quite wonderful 1983 by @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social. As someone who grew up just across the border (Derbyshire), at about the same time, as Benji, this was a particular delight to me, but I would recommend it to anyone. Full of love, joyful characters and fabulous tales.

I got round to watching Thursday Murder Club on Netflix last night. I've loved all the books, and all I can say is, I'm so glad I read the book before watching the film. They haven't done it any justice at all. It was watered down, silly, awkwardly played for laughs, and terribly miscast. Very sad.
