Organizations where the downside of things going wrong is “me and a few of my rich friends lose some money,” and organizations where the downsides of things going wrong is mass death and protracted chaos, should not be using the same standards. Really don’t think I’m out on a limb with this one.

You know how Elon Musk treated Twitter employees after he took over the company, and the institutional impact that had? What if we take an approach like that with some military officers, in particular ones with technical expertise?

There are few attitudes more ingrained in the military, especially in the military personnel system, than that all personnel of the same rank and same specialty are interchangeable and identical.

One thing that could be different this time: Iran won’t be the only one with drone swarm capability. This could be the first major combat test of the US-made LUCAS drone. With as quickly as Israel established air dominance last time, that’s a major problem for Iran.

Sweden, France, and Germany have all called for their citizens to leave Iran immediately. Markets are closed now, so if I’m guessing… strike window any time between now and March 7. I would anticipate sooner than later, but who knows what Trump will do.

I think we’ll ultimately go for the regime change option. Some of Trump’s advisors have been trying to get him to attack Iran forever. It’s primarily a distraction from the Epstein files. He saw that Venezuela was a boost for him, so he went for Iran too. Then Bibi convinced him to go bigger.

That’s hard to say. This DOJ certainly isn’t going to do anything about it here, but I think Andrew could at least help move public perception if he starts talking.

Most of the political appointees are pretty blindly MAGA. Susie Wiles tries to be a moderating force… sometimes, but she’s still pretty blindly MAGA. The career staffers (NSC, Housekeeping, etc.) are all pretty apolitical.

I don’t think we’ll ever see the 25th, no. The most I can see is maybe setting up a medical resignation of some kind, but I doubt that too. I think they’re going to try to suppress the vote as much as possible for the midterms, but we aren’t going to let that happen, right?
