As someone who made the mistake of deleting her personal discord last year, don't. If you enjoy discord, if you have been active on the platform for a while, remember all the chat logs, art servers, communities, and otherwise that are present there and no where else. FIGHT, don't RUN.

Other than spreading awareness, you can be loud and make sure Discord is aware their Userbase isn't okay with the ID requirement.

Remember: You don't HAVE to use discord. They're a company like any other, they don't have dominion over you. Think of all the "irreplaceables" that got replaced over the years. MySpace, Tumblr, Skype, Twitter... If they treat you like shit, leave. And tell your friends where to find you instead.

Forums, LJ, Twitter, etc. furries are a migratory people. Things get too shitty we move. Been that way for almost 30 years in this fandom and won't be stopping now. Anytime you join a new community app always keep your walking shoes on. You'll need em, because we always become inconvenient to them.
