Since the holidays are over now I can finally share this little gift that I made for @kuponito.bsky.social: I got some 3D prints of Animal Crossing villagers and painted them like our two sonas! I even made some concept art to make sure that I'd get the colours and faces right 🐈‍⬛❤️🐐

Like man, my career only exists in the way that it does now because a production designer was googling "realistic pokemon" and found me. If he could have just had a machine spit that out, I never would have gotten a job. This is a major issue hitting artist discoverability.

I do love Larian and have (had?) no problem with Swen and I appreciate Jason bringing up how bad AI is and indeed "so why use it". I think that we also need to call a spade a spade and remind CEOs *publicly* that genAI is trained on stolen content from thousands of unwilling artists.

This is so disappointing. Would love to hear from the concept artists and how they felt during the process. Was it trained just on their art? Did they get properly compensated? Is this why Shadowheart looks like an instagram hot girlie?
