✊ Solidarity with our colleagues in Ohio who are facing tremendous repression post-SB1. Faculty teaching conditions are student learning conditions. This is nothing less than an assault on the freedom to learn.

Our board member @cmcknichols.bsky.social & AAUP members from OSU & around the state contributed to this @dispatch.com article on the chilling impact of SB1 across Ohio. Between legal mandates & admin overcompliance, we are living the grim reality that thousands protested for over 2 years.

Tuesday! Ohio State’s Center for Ethnic Studies, with American Indian Studies, hosts a teach-in on land acknowledgements and their relevance to OSU. Affiliated faculty have a petition calling for dropping new “guidance” restricting when and where land acknowledgements are permitted. Please share!
