Educators in the state’s largest school district began strike authorization voting today. Solidarity with Anoka Hennepin Education Minnesota members fighting for fair wages and affordable health insurance. Healthy educators = healthy schools! #UnitedWeWin

After months of negotiations and 170+ days working without a contract, Anoka Hennepin Education Minnesota (AHEM) union members are voting on whether to authorize a strike. ✊ AHEM educators are voting from December 17 to 20 throughout the district and results will be announced by AHEM on December 20.

💥 A strike could begin as soon as January 2026. 👉 But there’s time to avoid a strike! District leaders could choose to reach a fair and reasonable contract honoring educators on the frontline of our communities — a contract including livable wages AND healthcare. 🗣 Healthy teachers, healthy schools!
