2 months ago, while cleaning at a client's house, I saw something under the table. Thinking it was a cat toy, imagine my surprise when it moved. Turns out it was a 4 week old flying squirrel. So tiny, so cute.

Let me tell you a story about my friend Thoth. I have bird feeders and have a huge array of birds. From cardinals, jays, grackles, various types of dove, red bellied woodpecker, and so on. I even have crows and Ibis. This is about Thoth, the Ibis.

Its a good morning for a murder! (And a parrot) I've always had bird feeders. During the pandemic, a crow showed up. He told his friends. 3.5 years later, they still come every morning.

20 years ago today, after a lovely family dinner, I would kiss my mother good night, exchange i love yous, and hear her voice call me muffin (her nickname for me, which i hated) for the very last time. What I would give to hear her call me that just 1 more time. Time passes but the grief remains.
