Remember how the venerable 2007 plasma TV that I once got for super cheap just stopped working? I did the sensible thing and just got a cheap, used 2009 model. This one is the same 50 inches but can actually do 1080p and only consumes 350W! Such progress. I still prefer these to crap smart TVs.

After I had my washer nozzles adjusted when the car was at the shop anyway, two of them ended up getting blocked, presumably due to them using dirty water (I saw residue in the filler strainer). Guess I'll just stick to un-fucking everything myself. With canned air and pointy objects.

Our cheap Logitech headsets at work suffer from the inevitable disintegration of their foam pads. Our administration forbids us from buying stuff on Amazon. So I can either order new headsets to replace working headsets or get some replacement foam on Amazon at my own expense. Gnnnn.

It's been more than a week since I last babbled about my 90s glovebox! We decided at one point not to run its vacuum pump 24/7 since it's not really necessary. However, to turn the pump on and off, you'd have to stick your hand in the spicy cabinet, and the display would show a warning message.

Germans traditionally like to ask "SO HAVE YOU ALREADY TURNED ON YOUR HEATING?!" in autumn, as if it were a badge of honor to wait until you freeze to death before doing it. They are so confused when I tell them ours is always on, because it's a combined warm water unit. Sticky valves though...

I still miss my first car. :) There's just nothing like it.

My Linux experience begins with balenaEtcher repeatedly throwing a generic error message and making my flash drive unusable rather than bootable. Off to a good start already. Also swapped in a new drive into my test machine, so I don't ruin a working install.

My colleague had the good idea of a backup connector for a single-phase vacuum pump in case I don't have a 3-phase one at hand. He thought he had hooked it up to one of the phases. But no, those things are not interconnected vertically. *angrily jabs things with a phase tester* Never a dull day.
